LOU’ANA

Lou’ana is an award-winning Aotearoa-born Pacific artist, weaving nu-disco, soul and funk into a world of hypnotic grooves, powerhouse vocals and theatrical live performance.

With foundations in jazz and a deep love for the songwriting and arrangements of the 70s, Lou’ana creates music rooted in self-expression, intuition and emotional release — balancing groove, storytelling and live musicianship.

Her sophomore album, Disco Witch, arrived in 2025 — a lush, groove-driven exploration of rhythm, reflection, ritual and self-discovery, built around the concept of As Above, So Below. The album debuted at #12 on the Official Aotearoa Albums Chart, following singles including Night Creature, which reached #2 on the Hot 20 NZ Singles Chart, and My World, featured by Rolling Stone AU/NZ as Best New Music.

Disco Witch follows Lou’ana’s 2020 debut album Moonlight Madness, which charted in the NZ Top 20 Albums and led to her being named Best Pacific Female Artist at the 2021 Pacific Music Awards. Across her catalogue, Lou’ana has amassed over 3 million streams, with Move Along alone surpassing 2 million.

On stage is where Lou’ana’s world comes fully alive. Her performances move between commanding, dance-floor energy and intimate storytelling, drawing audiences into a shared experience of rhythm, movement and connection. She has opened for international artists including Gladys Knight and Teddy Swims, performed across major Aotearoa festivals including Splore, CubaDupa, Earth Beat and Newtown Festival, and in 2025 performed to more than 100,000 people at Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park.

Whether backed by her full band or stripped back to voice and guitar, Lou’ana’s ethos remains the same: music that moves the soul, moves the body and liberates the spirit.
