Lou’ana captivated the hearts of a sold out Civic Theatre opening for the legendary Empress of Soul, Gladys Knight, (April ‘24).
2024 NZ Summer Tour!. Lou’ana took her band around the country for soul shaking performances at Nostalgia Fest (CHCH), Newtown Fest (Wgtn), NZ Spirit (Akl) and more after an epic 2023! Lou’ana performed a stellar performance to a sold out Auckland Town Hall opening for chart breaking USA soul artist Teddi Swims’. She also opened for the incredible USA Brooklyn funk band ‘Phony Ppl’, and alongside Frank Booker for NZ’s House Disco ‘Flamingo Pier’ EP Release at Avondale Hollywood Theatre. Lou’ana served up groovin’ energetic performance with her band at 2023 CubaDupa, Earth Beat & Fifa Fan Festival.
Lou’ana’s debut album ‘Moonlight Madness’ charted as a NZ top 20 Album, and landed her with 2021 Best Pacific Female Artist at the Pacific Music Awards
Summer of 2021, Lou’ana & band performed Mainstage ‘Splore’, ‘Nest Fest’, ‘Earth Beat' and ‘NZ Spirit’ after a sold out album release show at the reputable Q theatre. With 2 solo tours under her belt and dedicated years as a full time musician - Lou’ana thrives in the live space, delivering an energetic engaging performance.
A Jazz trained vocalist with multiple years of fronting bands including funk troupe Hipstamatics. Lou’ana was a featured artist in ‘Liberty Stage’ kiwi-supergroup (Jon Toogood, Deva Mahal, Laughton Kora and more) lineup to perform the albums of David Bowie, Rolling Stones and Elton John across NZ including The Auckland Civic theatre, Wellington Opera House and Christchurch Isaac Theatre. And again for the 2022 Auckland Live Cabaret Festival show `The Baz Luhrmann ‘Moulin Rouge -soundtrack album show’.
